NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Allen Joseph Hebert, age 84, at 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Korey Lavergne officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home.
A native of New Iberia and resident of Houma, formerly of New Iberia, Mr. Hebert passed away at 6:21 pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at The Oaks of Houma Nursing Home.
Mr. Hebert was a welder in the oilfield industry for many years. He loved horses, rode in many trail rides and was a member of the Iberia Parish Sheriff Passe.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Joellen “Jo” Positerry; two sons, Bryant “Butch” Hebert and wife Carrie and Adam J. Hebert all of Houma; one sister, Gail Romero and husband Gene of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Joseph and Olive Romero Hebert; five sisters and one grandchild.
