Vincenzo Salierno

1939-2024

Vincenzo Salierno passed away at his home on October 5, 2024 at the age of 85. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela, and his devoted children, Lucille (Tom) and Dominick (Judy). He was also a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren: Patrick, Joseph, Angela, Nicole, Matthew, Michael, Ashley, Anthony, Nicholas, Justin, and Vinny. Vincenzo is predeceased by his grandson Dominick Jr. Salierno and his sister, Rocchina (Pietro) Riccio. He’s also survived by his many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and friends in New York, Canada, and Italy.

Vincenzo was born on June 26, 1939 in Guardia Lombardi, Italy. In 1971, he immigrated to New Rochelle, New York where he worked for Labriola Landscaping. He moved to New City, New York in 1977 where he started his own business as a mason worker. He was known and respected by all for his hard work, and his masonry can be seen throughout Rockland County.

Vincenzo’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends, where he shared his life stories and great sense of humor. Vincenzo invited all into his home, and none of them ever left hungry or sober. He prided himself on his homemade wine and prosciutto. He also loved working outside, tending to his garden, and ensuring that the property was always pristine. Vincenzo will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
