Steve was born on December 8, 1951 in Bronxville, NY to the late Francis and Faustina Doyle. He attended Marianapolis Preparatory School in Thompson, CT and Providence College. Steve had a distinguished career as a manufacturer’s representative for BSE Marketing, Farmingdale, NY.
Steve is survived by his sons, Stephen Thomas Jr. (Eileen) of New City, NY and James (Judy) of Shark River Hills, NJ. His loving grandchildren, Sean, Trevor, Brayden, Gavin, and Charlotte as well as his longtime girlfriend, Laura Trent. He is also survived by siblings Faustina Tormey, Dolores (Mike) Tighe, Maureen (Rich) Soderberg, and Francis “Ro” (Diane) Doyle. He leaves behind numerous devoted nieces and nephews as well as an entire network of loving family, friends and colleagues.
He is predeceased by brother Lawrence M. Doyle, brother-in-law Steve Tormey and grandson John Thomas “Happy Jack” Doyle.
His multitude of work accolades and accomplishments include BSE Marketing, which he and his business partner Jeff Hessel formed 29 years ago. He was a food service icon and a nationally recognized manufacturers representative for a multitude of companies. He was someone that did not consider the work to be “work,” as he truly enjoyed his career and the relationships he cultivated over the years.
He leaves behind a legacy of a love of traveling to Vermont, Cape Cod, and his second home in Miami. He was a lifelong Mets fan, loved fishing trips and beach time as well as a perpetual tan. He loved to share his joy of cooking and food with his family and friends.
He was a vibrant, loving man who lived life to the fullest. He will never be forgotten and will always be remembered with a smile on his face.
