Maclyn is predeceased by his father, Edward Reed (Big Ed), survived by his mother, Ellen Smith Reed (Cookie) and the love of his life, Nicole Hudson. Mac is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles from both the Reed and Smith families.
Maclyn was known for his quick wit, attention to detail, great conversation, and compassion. His presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him, and absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
A beloved son, Mac was the pride and joy of his parents. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering loyalty endeared him to his family and friends alike.
Mac’s passion for life was infectious. He approached every day with a sense of adventure and a contagious smile that could light up the darkest of rooms. Whether he was pursuing his hobbies, spending time with his loved ones, or lending a helping hand to those in need, Mac lived life to the fullest.
Though Maclyn’s time on this earth was far too short, his impact will be felt for eternity. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in support for Mac’s cousin, Spencer Thomas.
