John DiGiacomo, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on February 19, 2012. John was born on May 19, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Rose (Palmeri) DiGiacomo. He worked for over 40 years as a union carpenter and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was active in the community helping others.
He is survived by his wife Maryann, daughters Marie and Andrea, son-in-law Carl, grandchildren Dominick, Carl, Keith, and brother Vincent. John was preceded in death by his brother Frank.
Family and friends will be received at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral mass celebrating John's life will be held on Thursday at St. Anthony's Shrine, Nanuet, NY at 10am. Interment will be held at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
