John Warner Cronin, 86 passed away at the Veterans home in Montrose on November 30, 2019. John was born in Mount Vernon, NY to Henry and Cecilia Cronin. John graduated from Blessed Sacrament H.S. in New Rochelle and attended Pace University. John proudly served his country during the Korean War as a Military Policeman and was a member of the Korean War Veterans. He worked for Mikron Industries in Salt Lake City, UT for many years as their regional representative. John, also worked in security at Macy’s and for the Town Of Ramapo. Fishing was a sport he always loved when on vacations. He will be remembered by all who knew him as the “guy who would lend a helping hand” to anyone. John is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Carol; his daughters, Michele (Wayne) Leidy, Suzanne Dale, and his sons Bruce and Sean (Stephanie) and his six grandchildren who affectionally called him Poppa, Cerena Paschitti (Anthony), Erin, Megan, Danielle, Joseph, Thomas, and his great grandson, Logan. John’s family were the greatest loves of his life with whom he enjoyed many holidays and get togethers. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Eaches, and brothers Br. William, and Henry (Edna).
Family will receive friends on Tuesday December 3, 2019 from 4pm-8pm at MJ Higgins FH 321 S. Main Street New City NY 10956. A prayer service at MJ Higgins New City will be Wednesday morning. Interment will follow at Fred Loescher Veterans Cemetery in Monsey NY 10977.
