James J. Williams, 75, of Bardonia, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2010. Jimmy was born on January 15, 1935 in Manhattan to the late Helen (Mulligan) and James Williams. Jimmy was retired from M.A.B.S.T.O.A. and the Jesse Kaplan School in West Nyack. Jimmy was an active member of the AOH, American Legion and Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 57 yrs. Josephine (Caldarella), daughters- Gail and husband Joe Carregal, Patricia, Marianne, Dawn and her husband Donald Van Houten, and Dianne and her partner Eric Hoosier. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, brother John and sister Helen, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Thomas. Jimmy will always be remembered as a kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Higgins Funeral Home in New City. In lieu of flowers a donation in his name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
