Eddie was born in the Bronx to Dorothy Liddington Sullivan and Edward Sullivan Sr. The oldest of three brothers, they grew up in the Gunhill Section of the Bronx. Eddie served in the Army from October 1956 to October 1958, stationed in Eritrea, Africa. Eddie was on the cusp of the telecommunications and computer industry with AT&T. He was an eager learner and avid reader who quickly grasped the computer revolution and was an 88 year old geek to the end. The Sullivan family grew up as part of a large extended family of friends from the Bronx who celebrated the National Holidays with large picnics and ball games. Eddie is predeceased by the love of his life, Loretta Motto Sullivan. Eddie is survived by his three children, Patrica Yacuk (Philip), Gary Sullivan (AnnMarie) and Gail Bergin (Michael Caffrey), grandchildren, Rocco Bergin (Johanna), Daniele Sullivan Ingram (Kyle), Michael Lyons, Anthony Lyons (Nicole) and Peter Yacuk. Eddie was an active member of the St. Paul’s Parish Church and Knights of Columbus
A visitation for Edward will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. A Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church, 82 Lake Rd., Congers, NY 10920. A burial will occur Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11:15 AM at Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake, Congers, NY 10920.
