She is predeceased by her parents, Ray and Regina Fisher, and her brother Barry.
Carol is survived by her loving husband Robert, her brother Alan, her brother Dwayne, her son Troy, her daughter-in-law Jillian, her son Drew, her grandchildren Anna and Nate, and many nieces and nephews.
She is a graduate of the Holy Name Nursing School and worked as an Emergency Room nurse in Holy Name Hospital for 16 years. She then worked in doctors offices for the next 20 years while raising her family.
As a young woman who loved to travel, she crossed the country with a friend in a tiny MG sports car. Once married, she and Robert loved getting the larger RV’s and taking their kids RV’ing across the country. Her ultimate goal was for her and Robert to RV through every state. Her final tally covered over 30 states.
As the true matriarch of the family, she ensured that everyone was together on the holidays, as well as ensuring that each family member knew that they had a special place in her heart.
The most amazing accomplishment of Carol’s life, however, was her incredible defeat of more than 9 cancers. It astonished her doctors, our family, and even professional cancer researchers in specialty clinics throughout the states. She and Robert also RV’d annually across the country to national IMWF conferences, sharing her first-hand cancer journeys with other survivors.
