Arthur C. Pisano Sr.

Arthur “Artie” C. Pisano Sr., 77, passed away on May 1, 2012. He was born on October 12, 1934 in New York, NY to Anthony and Fannie (Zazzarino) Pisano. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Congers chapter for many years. He coached and mentored many athletes in Rockland County and the Bronx. He was a dedicated advocate for The Right to Life Movement. He was a selfless and generous man and was there for anyone who needed him. His greatest joys came from his grandchildren; he never missed a game for his sons and grandsons and supported their local teams. Artie is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his sons Michael and Michael’s wife Angela of West Nyack, NY and Matthew and his wife Christine of Lancaster, PA; his daughter-in-law Terri Pisano of Bardonia, NY; his brother Anthony and his wife Diane of NJ; his sister Marie and her husband Tony Chiarella of NJ; and his cherished grandchildren Artie Pisano III, Anthony, Anna, Nicholas, Steven, and Ava Grace. He is predeceased by his son Arthur “Artie” C. Pisano Jr. and his brother Gerald Pisano. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30pm-4:30pm & 6:00pm-9:30pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 10:30am, at St. Paul’s Church, Congers, NY followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
