Z. Roman Napierkowski 69 of Bristol died peacefully at home on Monday, June 27, 2016. He was born in Poland and has lived in Connecticut since he was 17. He worked at Budney Incorporated for 51 years. The Budney family supported him personally and professionally as he worked his way up to Manufacturing Director.
He was a supporter of many Polish Causes; for years he was president of the Polish Scouting Parent Support Organization, Koło Przyjaciol Harcerstwa (KPH). He was a dedicated parishioner of Sacred Heart Church for 52 years.
Roman was a hardworking man who took pride in everything he did, but most of all he took pride in his family and cherished his beloved children and grandchildren. He was considered the family patriarch and they all turned to him for help and guidance. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Barbara (Sawko) Napierkowski.
His beloved 3 children with their families, Beata Mihulka and her husband, Adam with their children, Krzysztof, Olivia and Jakub of Westminster, MD; Thomas Napierkowski of Naples, FL; Agnes Santoro and her husband, Jason with their children, Emma; Gianna and Layla of Wakefield, MA
He leaves two brothers with their spouses, Mitchell and Hanna Napierkowski of Kenneth City, FL; Andrew and Ursula Napierkowski of Kensington; and a sister Anna Woodward of Wethersfield as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Piotr and Cecelia (Janowski) Napierkowski and a sister, Barbara Mikulec.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 8:30 am from New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, June 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Directions: I-84 take a right at the exit 37, funeral home is 1 1 /2 miles on your right.
