Wilma Arute

Wilma (Carrier) Arute, 81 of Avon, formerly of New Britain died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 1, 2012. She was the daughter of the Lucien and Philomena (Henchert) Carrier. She was born in Leominster, MA and was a resident of New Britain for most of her life.

She was a member of St. Maurice Church; she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her devoted children and their spouses; Wayne and Lori Arute of Avon; David and Jane Arute of Southington; Robert and Tammy Arute of Tolland; Heidi and Douglas Howarth of Pepperrell, MA; Danniel and Michelle Arute of Bedford, NH; Mark and Lisa Arute of Tolland, CT and Jack Arute of Hampdon, MA. She leave nine beloved grandchildren who where her pride and joy, Sara; Alexandra; Victoria; Kristin; Amanda; Paul; David and Danielle Arute, and Jennifer Jones, She also leaves three great grandchildren Evan, Nate and Jason and several nieces and nephews. She leaves her dedicated care giver, Becca Santulli. She was predeceased by a sister, Carmen Auffrey.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, January 7th at 9:00 AM at the New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Maurice Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
