Rosemarie Oppito, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully at Jerome Home in New Britain, CT at the age of 76. She was born on Flag Day, June 14, 1942 to the late William and Mary Kay Oppito. She was predeceased by her sister Carma.
She attended Torrington High School. Rosemarie graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing and continued her education at Fairfield University, University of Hartford and Northwestern Community College. Rose was the Administrator of Roncalli Home Healthcare from 1975-1995, Director of Clinical Operations for New England Homecare from 1995-2000, and Director of Nursing for Century Health services from 2000-2005 in Deerfield Beach Florida.
Cherishing her life, she leaves behind many to share her story; The Rev. Father Ron Smith, her cousins Bruce and Judy Padula, Dr. Peter and Donna Monoson and their extended family, her beloved Thomas Baxer, Marta Baxer, Peter and Lisa Baxer, Paul, Harumi and Andy Baxer, Dr. Joseph and Barbara Baxer, Fred and Lynn Dibattista, Bill and Carole Sittard, Doug and Barbara Casavant, Tom and Jean Despard, Carol Neag, Ruth Shine, Susan Vitalli and Bernie Rooney. She also is survived by; Karen Barnaby and Christine Lavigne and all her wonderful friends at Elmwood Senior Center.

Calling hours for Rosemarie will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 5-7PM at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain CT. 06053. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 17, at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 655 East St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
