Richard Joseph Ringwood

Richard Joseph Ringwood, of New Britain, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Born on April 14, 1943 to Helen (Podhajski) and Richard A. Ringwood, Mr. Ringwood worked for many years in the banking and financial services industry, including as a senior vice president at Peoples Savings Bank in New Britain. An accomplished musician, he provided musical entertainment for various social events with his band WEE 3 for over 20 years. Richard was a long-time member of the Pulaski Democratic Club and Polish National Alliance Lodge 2093 and served as an officer in both organizations. In his spare time he enjoyed vacationing with his family in Lake George, New York and Wells, Maine, and cooking delicious meals for his family. Richard was an avid hockey fan, and enjoyed attending Hartford Whalers, Wolfpack and UCONN games at the XL Center. Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lorraine (Pernal) Ringwood. He is survived by his son Alan Ringwood and his wife Laura of Rochester, NY and their three children, Anna, Jeremy, and Elizabeth, and son Daniel Ringwood, of New Britain. The family extends tremendous gratitude to Richard’s dear friend Patricia Buslewicz for her companionship and emotional support during the last five years of his life. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 9AM-10:30AM at New Britain Memeorial-Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held August 12,2022 at 11AM at Sacred Heart Church,158 Broad St. New Britain.
