Patricia A. Kavalski (Patricia Gardner White) 81, passed on August 26, 2018 at home in New Britain, following a valiant battle with terminal illness. She was preceded in death by husbands Edward J. Kavalski and Ronald F. Armstrong; her parents, Everett C. and Grace (Gearing) White; her brother, Stephen C. White and his wife, Marcia. She is survived by her daughter, Roni G. Armstrong of Brooklyn, NY; brother, David N. White (Mary) of Barnet, VT; seven nephews and their families, plus many grand-nieces and grand-nephews, all of VT; multiple cousins, including Ann G. Gearing and family of Littleton, CO, and a host of extended family and friends. Born in Bristol, CT on February 14, 1937, Pat attended local schools and earned her degree from Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT. During her career at LIMRA (Windsor, CT) as Senior Meeting Planner, Pat’s attention to detail and insistence on excellence significantly contributed to the organization. Pat was elegant, with impeccable social graces, thoughtful and generous, extravagant in the smallest of ways; hard-working and dedicated. She was high-spirited, a soft-spoken trailblazer with the soul of a spitfire, a deep love of nature, animals, and children and a life-long passion for the ocean, swimming, and travel. Pat’s family extends special appreciation to those who provided excellent medical care and extraordinary practical support to realize Pat’s wish to live out her life at home: Peggy Kaplan, Louie Lombardo, Adrienne Lombardo, Latoya McCorey, Tom Strickland, her team of doctors and nurses at Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute, Nurse Navigator Noa Mencher, and the Hartford Healthcare Hope Team and Hospice at Home staff.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., reception following, on Friday, September 7 at New Britain Memorial - Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT 06053.
