Tinyszin, Mikolaj, 90, passed on March 14, 2020 surrounded by his devoted family. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Tamara (Sobol) Tinyszin and two brothers, Stefan and Wasyl and a sister, Anastasia Roczniak. He is survived by his sister, Anna Konik. He is also survived by his sons, Roman (spouse Ellen), Stefan, Mark (spouse Barbara) and his daughters Vira, Olha and Kateryna. He is also survived by 7 loving grandchildren - Andrea, Erica, Pavlo, Orisia Gammell, Andrij Kouts, Sara Davis, Alex and 7 beloved great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He retired from New Britain Machine/Litton Industries in 1990 after 35+ years of service, where he was employed as a machinist. He is one of the original parishioners of St. Josephat Ukrainian Catholic Church in New Britain. Mikolaj enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with electronics and mechanics. He took pleasure in helping anyone in need.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 4 pm until 7:30 pm. Panakhyda Service will be held at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 9:00 am at the New Britain Memorial, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT.
Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 307 Eddy Glover Blvd. New Britain, CT.
Burial will follow at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, 1458 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT.
