Our beloved father, Kazimierz Sendrowski, 75, of Plainville, CT, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, at Hartford Hospital. He was born November 11, 1949, in Dobrylas, Poland, to Czeslaw and Wladyslawa. He is survived by his younger siblings Henryk, Kinga, Zofia, and Stanislaw.
He married the love of his life, Janina (Zubrowska). They were married for almost 54 years and had four children (Andrzej, Agnieszka, Monika, and Lukasz), seven grandchildren (Sebastian, Christian, Kaziu, Satu, Anya, Ravi, and Cora), a daughter-in-law (Malgorzata), and a son-in-law (Matt).
In Poland, Kazimierz worked as a teacher, a police officer, and a taxi driver. In the US, he was a CNC machinist.
He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, drinking craft beer, gardening, making homemade pickles, and spoiling his cats with treats and his grandkids with Prince Polo chocolate bars. He was also known for picking up items left on the side of the road (he could fix just about anything), collecting hats (he had about 30), making indestructible furniture, and meeting with his buddies at McDonalds to solve the world’s problems.
Everyone who knew him enjoyed his gregarious personality, keen humor, and ability to debate on all things related to politics. As his nephew-in-law, Mike Zubrowski, noted, “He had a great presence and unmatched humor!” He will be sorely missed.
Visitation hours will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 4pm to 6pm at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00am on Thursday, December 19, 2024. The burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery followed by a reception at Crystal Ballroom.
