Josephine Gallo

Josephine A. Gallo, wife of the late Salvatore Gallo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Salmon Brook Center in Glastonbury, to whose staff we are deeply grateful. She was born in Floridia, Sicily, daughter of the late Salvatore and Santina Ierna. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her loving family. Her handmade crocheted scarves and blankets will be loving memories for her family. Josephine is predeceased by her sisters, Angela Monaco, Virginia Bilodeau,and Carmela Pizzo, and her brother Anthony Ierna. She is survived by her daughter Diane Oliveira and her husband David; sons, Joseph Gallo and his wife Michele, and Salvatore Gallo and his wife Maria; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held on Tues. Sept. 6th at 11 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1755 Stanley St. New Britain, Ct. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Family and friends may call at New Britain Memorial - Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, Ct. on Tues. morning from 9 – 10:30 am.
