Jo-Ann Chiaravallo

Jo-Ann C. (Kozaczka) Chiaravallo, 60, loving wife of Michael Chiaravallo, of New Britain, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in her home. Jo-Ann was born in Springfield, Mass and was the daughter of Joseph and Nellie (Klebosky) Kozaczka of Springfield, MA. She graduated Enfield High School, Class of 1967 and Central Conn. State College in 1971 with a Bachelors in education, where whe went on to teach in Terryville High School for 24 years. Jo-Ann was also a member of Holy Cross Church, CT Teachers Association, M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), Troop Assistant Girl Scouts of America and taught C.C.D. (Religious Classes) at St. Ann Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is also survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Amy Chiaravallo of Brooklyn, NY, her two brothers; Thomas Kozaczka of Springfield, MA and David Kozaczka and his wife Sharon of Suffield, CT and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be Sunday, May 8, 2011, from 2-4pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by a Prayer Service at 4pm- at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
