Jessie Lee Wells

Jessie Lee Wells, 88, of New Britain, Conn., died peacefully, Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the Autumn Lake Healthcare Center in New Britain. Jessie was born in Rose Hill, North Carolina, son of the late Walter Wells and Lossie (Boney) Wells. He shared a loving and caring life with his late wife Josephine (Gohagon) Wells. He worked for most of his life as a craftsman in the building and construction trades. Jessie enjoyed a long and well deserved retirement. He was extremely active throughout his life and enjoyed fishing, dancing and good times with family and friends. He was a devout Christian, sharing his faith with others through his caring, supportive and loving nature. A true southern gentleman, he enjoyed dressing in his finest. Kind, caring, helpful, true believer, fun to be with, reliable and self-sufficient. That’s how friends and family will remember and honor him.

Jessie is survived by his daughter Belinda Wells-Starks and her husband Maurice of Jonesboro, GA, and two grandchildren, LaToya and Davielle Starks. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 from 1-2 pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain.
