Janina Pieta

She was born in Germany and has lived in New Britain and most recently in Plainville.

She retired from Emhart Corporation and was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Ladies Guild, and PNA.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and mushroom picking. She especially loved to cook for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Pieta and was predeceased by her first husband, John Pieta.

Janina is also survived by her 3 devoted children, Janice and John Czerepuszko of Plainville; Elizabeth and Witold Chrzanowski of Southington; and Robert Pieta of New Britain. She leaves 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

She was predeceased by a brother, Bruno Iwanusyk and a sister, Helen Wojcik.

Funeral services will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 8:30 AM at the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
