Frank Mascolo, 74, beloved husband of Saveria (Sanseverino) Mascolo, of Kensington, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016. He was born in Italy and was son to the late Alfonso and Pellegrina (Trinchese) Mascolo.
He served his country in the Italian Army and had worked as a barber in Italy and also when he came to the U.S. Frank had worked at Fafnir Bearing and Colossale Concrete. To name of few, he loved gardening, listening to his Italian music, casino trips, scratch tickets and his dog Patches.
In addition to his wife, Saveria, of 51years, he is also survived and will be dearly missed by his children: Alfonso Mascolo and Patty Murphy and her husband Robert Murphy Jr,his precious grandchildren; Robert (Bobby) Murphy III, Frank Murphy, Caitlan Mascolo and Allie Mascolo, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Giuseppe Mascolo and his wife Rosa. A special thanks to Dr. Neil Wasserman and Mel and the Berlin VNA.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 4-7pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Funeral services will begin Friday, June 10, 2016 at 9AM for a brief gathering at the funeral home, followed by his funeral liturgy at 10AM in St. Paul Catholic Church, 485 Alling Street, Kensington.
