He was born on July 21, 1955, in Poland, a son of the late Mikolaj and Eugenia (Mielniczuk) Miglowiec. Boguslaw was an Engineer and IT Network Technician for Burt Process Equipment before retiring. His past coworkers continue to mention his name on a daily basis for his work and personality, describing him as very easy-going but strict, and known for his professionalism.
Boguslaw was a musician from a young age, playing the saxophone, keyboard, accordion, clarinet, among other instruments. He had a deep passion for building things, especially computers, and would always reminisce about how he and his brother built a radio when they were little kids in Poland. He also had a profound love for jazz music, particularly enjoying the works of Pat Metheny. In his younger years, he enjoyed skiing and took yearly trips to the Cape with family and friends. He loved camping and was an avid fisherman. Boguslaw played in the Rzeszowiacy Band for many years, performing at weddings, picnics, and parties, often playing for charities.
Boguslaw adored his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. Whether it was playing his instruments for them, helping with their homework, or teaching them how to garden and build things, he cherished every moment spent together. In his final days, he expressed a heartfelt sadness that there were still so many lessons and experiences he had hoped to share with them.
In addition to his wife, Agnieszka, he is survived by two daughters: Patricia Miglowiec of Bristol and Roxanne Miglowiec of Glastonbury; a brother, Alexander Miglowiec of Bristol; five grandchildren: Paloma, Liam, and Mason Jurczyk, and Orlando and Romeo Serrano; and one niece, Alexandra Newland.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kluger and the staff at the Smilow Cancer Center for their compassionate care throughout the years.
A funeral will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 8:30 AM at New Britain Memorial-Donald D.
