Trudy Carolyn (Reynolds) Wiley

Trudy was born in Austin, TX, on March 17, 1942, the eldest born to Elizabeth Dee Kyle and Coleman C. (Coley) Reynolds. Trudy was big sis to Randall Ray Reynolds, Rodney Dee Reynolds (Pat), Doran Coleman Reynolds (Suzi) and Tammy Reynolds Hyde (Bill). Trudy graduated from Travis High School in Austin, TX in 1960.

Trudy met the love of her life, Donald Woodrow Wiley, at a dance hall in Poteet on a Sunday afternoon in 1966. They were excited to start their new life together, so, shortly after meeting, they went to the San Antonio courthouse and got married on September 30, 1966, with Don’s brother Wade Wiley as their witness. Trudy always told us that she knew immediately that Don was the one for her and that was proven by the almost 58 beautiful years of love and marriage that they shared.

Don and Trudy were the proud parents of their children Martin Lynn Wiley, Rolene Donnell Wiley Schreidel (Michael), Donald Shane Wiley (Amy), and Robin Allison Wiley. Trudy was a stay-at-home mom until her children started school when she returned to the workforce at the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. Trudy retired from the State of Texas in 2002.

Don and Trudy loved being the grandparents of Heather Lynn Wiley, Amber Elizabeth Wiley (Michael), Jessica Elizabeth Wiley Palous (Casey), Justin David Wiley (Marilyn), Brandon Lee Wiley (Carli) and Donald Coleman “Cole” Wiley.

In most recent years, her great-grandchildren brought Trudy so much joy! Charlotte Elizabeth Palous, Eleanor Louise Palous, Charles “Van” Wiley, Ada James Wiley, Waylon Jo Wiley and #6 on the way, Jones D. Wiley. She and Don loved to spend as much time as they could with family and especially all these precious great grandbabies!

Trudy is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Coley, her brother Rodney Reynolds, and her son, Martin Lynn Wiley.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10 AM at New Braunfels Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX, where flowers and cards may be sent.
