Robert Edwin Bryant

Robert Edwin Bryant, 79, of New Braunfels, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Sundance Care Center. He was born to Harold Lee Bryant and Jewel (Smith) Bryant in Oakland, CA on November 1, 1933 and married Shirley Ruth Brown on June 13, 1959 in Brownfield, Texas. Robert graduated from Texas Tech University in 1960 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Geology and afterward he began working for Halliburton Industries. He also owned Springtown Feed & Fertilizer for several years in Springtown, Texas. While in Springtown he served on the School Board, was the President of the Chamber of Commerce and also served on the hospital board for the Weatherford Regional Medical Center in Weatherford, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Ruth (Brown) Bryant of New Braunfels; son, David Edwin Bryant of Austin, TX; daughter, Karen Lee Bryant of Corpus Christi, TX; and two granddaughters, Taylor Nicole Bryant and Bailey Mae Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Beverly McIntyre.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Tuesday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Zoeller Funeral Home. Services will conclude in the funeral home chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the memorial of one’s choice.
