My heart was greatly saddened when I heard of Pilar’s passing. She was my student, special to me, and I loved her. She had a smile that lit up the room, a great laugh and was helpful and kind to others. How wonderful it would be if we each could honor her by working to be kind as she was!

I am so sorry to have just learned about Pilar's death just now. My greatest memory of Pilar is when all of her sisters joined each other for breakfast on the first day of school at Librados restaurant. Everyone laughed and had an awesome time. They did this for years. When I went to HEB her and her husband always took the time to talk to me and my husband for a few minutes. There love was so special to see. 

My prayers are truly with the Martinez and Fuentes family. I am deeply saddend by Pilarsitas death, and at the same time I know she is in heaven with her son and parents. I will always remember how she used to love to joke and laugh. I am sorry I cannot be there at the memorial, but will be there in prayers.

I remember Pilar as a young girl.  The most recent being at the local HEB.  She would always smile.  She was a very happy child of God. May her Soul Rest In Peace and Perpetual light shine upon her.  Pilar you will be missed. 🙏❤️

Oh my dear Pilar. You were a best friend to me in school.  I remember our class reunion we had so much fun together at the dance sitting together.  We always had a hug when we saw each other at heb. Yes, Everytime I was at HEB where she worked she always had a smile and ready to help if a person needed something. I kept looking out for her when I was at HEB.

Rest in peace Pilar. My condolences to your family. I new Pilar from school. She was a very nice and sweet person. When I still lived in New Braunfels I would see her from time to time at HEB. Our class of 87 will miss you. 

My condolences to the family. I met Pilar working @ HEB in our high school years, she was shy at first but I got to know her thru the years and she was really funny, great sense of humor. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers for peace and comfort. 

My heart hurts knowing you are gone. I met you when I was 15 (28 now). You helped decorate and plan my quince and made that day so beautiful. from that day on you became my madrina and held a special place in my heart. You will be forever missed but knowing you are in your eternal home watching over us.

I met Pilar when I worked as a sacker for HEB for 3 summers. She was friendly, lighthearted and a little on the shy side, but we soon became good friends. Over the years, our paths diverged, but she would always ask my Mom how I was doing, and when I came to town, I would make a point of stopping by the store to say Hello and see how she was doing.  My Mom and I have missed seeing Pilar's smiling face, along with the hugs we would get when we would see her. Our deepest sympathy to Raymond and the rest of her family. My heart aches...  Pilar found her way into my heart the day I met her as a student at Canyon High School.  She was such a special lady.  She was loyal, headstrong,  caring and loving.  It was my privelege to have known her.  May you, her family, share years of happy memories of her.  May you rest in peace, Pilar.

I went to school with Pilar and would see her when I shopped at HEB.  She was always smiling and always quick to say hi and ask how I was.  Our CHS Class of 87 has lost a good one and is blessed to call her one of ours.

Pilar was my neighbor at HEB, she was in market and I was in seafood. Many funny memories with her there. Well now you are at rest my friend, no more pain or suffering.

I have known Pilar since our middle school days, she was always so sweet and always offering a seat on the bus, may she rest in peace  and may God comfort her family in this time of need. 

Memorial Service

She is proceeded in death by her mother Pilar, Her father Luciano, her brother Louis, sister Sanjuanita and her only son Douglas.
She leaves behind 13 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece, her sisters: Teresa, Mary, Olga, Santos and Victoriana, and her beloved husband of 33 years, Raymond Fuentes.
