Michael R. Smith

Michael R. Smith, age 76, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Michael was born on June 19, 1947, in Baytown, Texas to the late Rankin and Clara Smith.

Michael enjoyed camping and traveling with friends and family. He was a member of the Oakwood Church.

Michael is survived by his wife, Nancy Smith; daughter, Sabrina Anderson and husband Bryan of Austin, TX; son, Nathan "Nate" Smith of Bulverde, TX; sister, Sandra Tash and husband Bill of Austin, TX; brothers, John Smith and wife Kristin of Austin, TX, Paul Smith and wife Fannie of Austin, TX, and Jim Morgan and wife Diana of Grapeland, TX; grandsons, Marcus Anderson and Beck Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Delma Smith; brothers, Doug Smith and Steve Morgan; sister, Cathy Keen.

There will be a celebration of Michael’s life held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Oakwood Church. A time for visitation will occur between 2pm and 3pm, the memorial service will occur between 3pm and 4pm, and a reception will follow from 4pm to 5pm. All parts of service will be at Oakwood Church.
