Mary Frances Batey

Mary Frances Batey, 77, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Kirkwood Manor. She was born to Christopher Knobloch and Mabel (Hodges) Knobloch in Seguin, Texas on June 19, 1938.

Mary Frances was born and raised in Seguin, Texas. She graduated from Seguin High School and was confirmed at Emanuel’s Lutheran Church. She married Kenneth Batey and together they traveled abroad, living in various parts of the country as Kenneth served in the United States Air Force until his retirement.

She is survived by husband, Kenneth R. Batey of New Braunfels; daughter, Tina Jupe and husband Mark of St. Hedwig, TX; grandson, Justin Jupe of Schertz, TX; brothers-in-law, Franklin Batey and wife Verna and Phillip Batey and wife Patty; sisters-in-law, Mary Batey, Katy Johnson, Barbara Henk and husband Mike and Nettie Batey; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother-in-law.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels.
