Chad William Mason

Chad Mason, born on June 27, 1970 in Sullivan, Indiana passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023 in his home surrounded by family. Chad was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his Mother Sara Detraz, Wife Danita Mason, and Siblings: Darin Mason, Shannon Abel, and Annissa Mason. Children: Savannah Rae, Daughter in love Paige, Son in love Jordan, Daughter in love Jen and Grandchildren: Miley, Ella, Jenson, Brayden, Sterling, Melody, and Parker.

Anyone who knew Chad knew he was a true cowboy. He was a devoted Christian who put God above all and lead others towards their path of being closer to our Heavenly Father. He was always quick to drop everything to help someone in need. He had a contagious laugh and he loved everyone unconditionally. Chad never believed in titles such as “step” or “half” when it came to family members. Family is just family, that was it! His daughter, Kramer Rae and his Grandchildren were his most prized blessings. From life advice talks, hunting, and watching his girls ride horses, to gas station trips, sleepovers or just cuddling up to watch a movie, he looked forward to any time they wanted to spend with him.

Chad spent his working years as a Ranch Manager for Pat Bolton. He loved taking his daughter and grandchildren out to the ranch to help with cattle or to bale hay.

Chad now lives in the outskirts of heaven with dirt roads for miles, and hay in the fields. We know he was greeted with loving and open arms by Don, Darlene and his Father Charlie.

Viewing will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels on Sunday, January 15th from 4pm - 7pm

We will be having a graveside service at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in Spring Branch on Monday, January 16th at 12pm.
