Carolyn Elizabeth Stites

Carolyn Elizabeth Stites passed away on December 1, 2010 at the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 70 years. Carolyn was a kind, gentle, caring person. Her brother recently said he never knew someone who asked for so little but gave so much. She was a free spirit and felt the most at home when she was near the ocean. And while she often kept to herself, she loved to travel to see new places and spend time with family and friends. She moved to New Braunfels two years ago to be close to her beloved grandchildren, Randi & Ryan. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her but will be forever in our hearts. She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Rush and husband Michael of New Braunfels; son, Bret Fitterer and Marcia Johnson of San Clemente, Ca. ; two grandchildren, Randi and Ryan; two brothers, Frederick Stites of Camarillo, CA. and John Stites of Kalamazoo, Michigan; sister, Girvani Zilborg of Mendocino, CA.; nephews and nieces, Gregory, Sam, Catherine, Laura, Alanna and Christopher. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assn.
