She was born to the late William and Dorothea Wick on February 16, 1929, in Thorp Springs, Texas. Audrey graduated as Valedictorian from Lake View High School in San Angelo, Texas, in 1946, and received a BA in History from the University of Texas in 1952. She married the late Pete Williams in 1950.
Audrey started her career as a Spanish teacher in the Austin Public Schools in 1960. She taught at University Junior High, Martin Junior High, and Bedichek Middle School during her 30 year career. She was very dedicated to helping her students.
She retired from teaching in 1989 and she and husband Pete moved to New Braunfels.
Audrey was an active member of the New Braunfels Church of Christ. She helped fund missionary trips to Mexico and traveled on many of the missionary trips.
Audrey is survived by three children, Pete Williams of New Braunfels, Hardy Williams of League City, Texas, and Nina Pace of Tucson, Arizona, twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Comal County Parkinson's Support Group, 880 Highland Blvd, Canyon Lake, TX 78133.
A viewing will be held at 9:15 am, Wednesday, July 3, at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels. Funeral services begin at 10am, Wednesday at Zoeller Funeral Home.
