Tony Barboza, 73 passed away on February 28, 2015 in New Braunfels, Texas. The memory of Tony was he loved cooking, gambling, dancing and traveling but most of all his family and friends. One of his pride moments in his life was operating “El Capricho”. He had many good times and memorable moments. Tony you will be greatly missed!
He was preceded in death by his parents Celia & Viviano Barboza, Sr. Survived by his loving wife of 29 years Janie Fuentes Barboza. He had three daughters Tonia Gaytan, Sandee Moore and Candy Barboza. One step daughter Mary Zavala Garber (Fred). Two stepsons Daniel Steven Zavala Sr. (Delores) and Ruben Zavala (Rose). Three grandchildren Roxie Roberts, Tony and Chloe Rivera. One great grandchild Sceanna Roberts. Six step grandsons Dominic Molina, Steve and Mark Zavala, Ruben Zavala Jr, Bryan Zavala and Javier Quintero. Two step daughters Holly Zavala and Jessica Urrutia. Six step grandchildren Kenna, Drake, Rayein Molina, Zoe Zavala, Mckenzie Quintero and Jacoby Urrutia. One sister Elva Deleon (Joe) and sister cousin Mary Ester Raigosa (Ray). Brothers Viviano “Kookie”, Vidal and Nick Barboza. Nephews Manuel, Mike, Mario, Nick Jr., Ramon, Vidal Jr., Benjamin, Heaven Barboza and Joe Deleon Jr.
Pallbearers Ruben Zavala, Joe Deleon, Ray Raigosa, Ramon Luna, Polo Cantu and Albert Morales. Honorary Pallbearers Viviano “Kookie”, Vidal, Nick and Elva Deleon.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home at 5pm – 9pm. Rosary will start at 7pm. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10am at the Holy Family Catholic Church. The burial will follow the funeral mass at Comal Cemetary.
