He was an active member of the Elks Lodge, a lifetime member of Lodge 818 in Bowling Green, Ohio, where he served as Trustee. His interests included traveling, photography, boating and camping and he was an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Meisch Roth and a daughter, Nancy Jane Roth.
Robert is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hansen Sinkway Roth; one son, James Roth and wife Dana of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Peggy Houser and husband Eric of Holly Springs, N.C. and Lisa Wickard and husband John of Bowling Green, Ohio; two sisters, MaryEllen McKnight and husband Doug of Troy, Mich. and Sally Zaccardelli and husband Reno of Northfield, Ohio; his grandchildren, Grant and Evan Houser, Corey and Jessica Wickard, Abby and Andrew Roth, Nancy Roth Duchaine and husband Shane, and Taylor Sinkway; and one great-grandchild, Grace.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date in Bowling Green, Ohio.
