A loving wife, mother, and Mimi, Becky was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to travel, especially to the mountains and enjoyed quiet time on her back porch in Asbury. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she loved singing in the choir and being with her church family. For almost 40 years, Becky enjoyed working at BSH Home Appliances with her work family, serving as a "mother hen" to many of her co-workers.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ashby Wade Tippett, Sr.; her two children, Jennifer Tippett Wetherington (Jeremy) and Ashby Wade Tippett, Jr.; two brothers, Billy Bass and Nick Rose; two sisters, Edith Walker and Marie Sugg; and two grandsons, Tanner Rouse and Teagan Wetherington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ruby Rose; a brother, Walter Bass; and sister, Sue Parker.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Asbury United Methodist Church fellowship hall, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Asbury U.M.C. Building Fund, 1780 Asbury Road, Cove City, NC 28523.
