He loved and served his country for 21 years. After retirement, he worked in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for seventeen years.
He is survived by his wife, Laurlie Baldree Jensen, his children, Debbie Schartz of Missouri, Vance Jensen of Tennessee, Scott Jensen of Kansas, Buddy and Warren Allen of New Bern, his sisters, Janice Ludwig of Idaho, JoAnn Ledgerwood of Washington, Helen Simmons of Oregon, half-sisters, Betty Grey and Virginia Rupnow. He has 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and in November, he would have become a great-great grandfather.
A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 29, 2016 at Clarks United Methodist Church, 106 Clarks Rd., New Bern, NC. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
