She is the daughter of the late Winslow and Mildred Mayo Edwards. She was retired from the State of North Carolina.
Services will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Scott Coghill officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
She is survived by her two sons, Ken Edwards Jr. and wife Leslie of New Bern; Tom Edwards of Wilmington; two grandsons, Luke and Connor Edwards; three nephews and one niece. She is also survived by her sister Sue Edwards Baxter and husband, David of New Bern; brothers, John Michael Edwards and wife, Shelia of Wake Forest; and David Massie Edwards and wife, Michelle of Hampstead.
