It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Karen Elizabeth Cooper, of New Bern on May 9, 2022 at the age of 44 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lauren Cooper; father, Phil Cooper; sister, Tracy Miller (Brad); nephew, Benjamin Miller; niece, Elizabeth Miller, as well as, numerous relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Shauna Cooper and grandparents, Marvin and Mabel Weatherly.
Karen was born on October 3, 1977 and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as an income case worker with the North Carolina Department of Social Services for many years and was most recently excited about her new adventure with Eastern Carolina Council. She also enjoyed fostering dogs and volunteering at Colonial Capital Humane Society.
Services will be held at Lakeside Chapel in Greenleaf Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00am. Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Karen Elizabeth Cooper.
