Joseph "Joe" James Becker

Joe was born May 12, 1939, in Amityville, New York to the late Joseph and Frances Becker. Joe spent most of his life enjoying the Great South Bay of Long Island and the Adirondacks of New York.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Christa Becker; son, Brent Becker (Lisa); daughter, Karen Becker Glick; grandchildren, Cassidy, Paige, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Riley Anne and Penelope; brother, Richard Becker (Betty); and many loving family members and close friends.

The family will receive visitors from 9:45-10:15 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at St. Peter the Fisherman Church in Oriental. A memorial service will begin at 10:30 AM with Deacon Jim Hackett officiating the service. Following the service, the church will provide light refreshments for everyone to enjoy and share stories about Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pamlico County Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry at PO Box 771, Oriental, NC 28571.
