Jordan Foss

Jeffery Jordan Foss, 82, of New Bern, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 25th, surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home. Known to many in the community as "Foss," Jordan, along with his wife, Jonnie, founded Liberty Carpets in 1992 and together they have built their business on the foundation of helping others and treating people fairly. Jordan loved people, whether serving them from his flooring store or selling watermelons and collards from the tailgate of his truck.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jonnie; two daughters, Vicky Fuggiano (John) and Becky Quinn; one granddaughter, Karen Foss Haines (Chris); two great grandsons, Zachary Downing and Caleb Haines; one brother, Raven Foss; two sisters, Linda Millard and Joan Price; as well as very special in- laws, Joseph Millard(Linda), Lylton and Julia Ann Thigpen, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Lessie Foss; his son, Ronald Jordan Foss; a brother, Joe Foss; and a sister, Peggy MacFarland.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, June 29th at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by a service to remember and celebrate his life in the Chapel beginning at noon. Burial will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, it was Jordan's wish that you lend a helping hand to someone you know that is in need.
