He was of the catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Nan McCloskey-Giroux, his step-dad, Lawrence Giroux, and a brother, Michael McCloskey.
He is survived by his wife Karen, one son, Mathew McCloskey, one step-son, Jeremy Hudson, one step-daughter, Casey Hudson, a brother, James McCloskey, and four sisters, Mariann Laucks, Jeanne Brotzky, Nancy Webber and Sharon Robinson.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday, March 4, 2013 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock. A funeral mass will be held at 9:00 am Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the church. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
