He was a farmer for over 40 years and he was employed with the Bridgeton Landfill. JK was an active member and former chief of the Ft. Barnwell Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda D. Russell, three daughters, Patricia Harrell of Cove City, Dorothy Waters of New Bern, Lorie Ipock of Asbury, his brother and sister, Johnny Russell and Joyce Tripp, both of Dover, and five grandchildren, David, Kenney, Jennifer, Kelly and Jessie.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Cotten Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 27, 2014 at Ft. Barnwell Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
