Edgar "Egor" was a truck driver and greatly enjoyed it. During his lifetime, Edgar drove thousands of miles up and down the eastern sea board, and he spent years logging as a heavy machine operator and log truck driver. When he was not driving, Edgar loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Every year Edgar spent his summers at Camp Vandemere serving as a camp coordinator. The kids enjoyed seeing Edgar driving around on the golf cart or at the fishing pier, and he made them laugh with his endless jokes and deep, recognizable voice.
He is survived by his mother, Annette Warren; daughters, Melissa Lee and husband Dan, and Rachel Hartford and husband, Cameron; grandchildren, Parker, Riley, and Benaiah; brothers, Edwin Warren, Greg Warren and wife, Tammy, Gary Warren, and Douglas Warren; and many loving family members and close friends.
Edgar is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Warren; and father, Julius Warren.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Cotten Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM. Edgar will be laid to rest at Greenleaf Memorial Park following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested gifts be made to Kennedy Home, the Baptist Children’s Home of North Carolina at bchfamily.org.
