She was affectionately known as "Grandma" and "Bingo" to many of her family and friends. Grandma Ellen had a big heart. She loved fiercely. When you met her, you learned real quick who her friends and loved ones were and they were not to be messed with. She took care of her people.
Grandma Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Williams; all of her children, Jesse Wayne Williams, Jeffrey "Butch" Williams, Jan Brian Williams, Donna Williams Short (Donnie), and Craig "Chainsaw" Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a large family whom she loved dearly, including the following:
Grandchildren, Kimberly Williams Brattin, Neal Williams (Mary), Ellen Short Weaver, Amy Short Falcone (Andy), Beth Williams, Shannon Strickland (Ty), Sara Marie Dickens, Jessica Mitchell (David), Violet Michelle Locklear (Josh) and Heather Williams Black (Wesley), Aneva and Andrea Falcone (Justin).
Great Grandchildren, Sean and Spencer Smith, Eric Lassiter (Grace), Tyler Weaver, Kyle Weaver, Jaxon Payne,Spencer James, Aiden Matthew, Camden Lee, Brooklyn Rayne, John Francis Wayne Mitchell, Wyatt David Mitchell, Lester William Black, Jordis and Olivia Holloway, Makayla and Brice Kirby and Gage Stilley.
Great Great Grandchildren, Maci Rollinson and London Faith Lassiter.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Mrs. Williams may do so on Saturday, April 11th between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home. Due to current social distancing guidelines, the viewing will be limited to ten persons at a time. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
Mrs. Williams will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her husband at Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield, North Carolina.
