Elizabeth Anne Piner

Anne was born to the late Jesse Harvey Bratcher and Elsie Daly Wetherington Bratcher on December 6, 1936 in Craven County.

A long time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Duffy Piner, Sr. and son-in-law, George Fuller.

Anne is survived by her three children, CD Piner (Rita) of New Bern, Carole Fuller of New Bern, and Ruth Long (Parker) of Elizabeth City, as well as her brother Charles Bratcher (Josie) and sister-in-law, Selma Piner. Anne was blessed with five grandchildren, Bobby Piner (Carly), Keri Grzeslo (Jonathan), Rachel McDonald (Paul), Lauren Piner and Kellen Long, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Cotten Funeral Home Thursday, March 23 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Scott Gleason. Burial will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
