Edward H English

and most recently of NewBern NC,

passed from this world Saturday June 24, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Isle of White County Va June 24, 1932

and in true “Ed English” style departed this

life on the same day he came in, on his 85th birthday.

He is survived by the love of his life, Barbara English,

with whom he shared 63 wonderful years

together. Two children Ed Jr.(Roxanne) of Virginia Beach, VA &

Terri Yandle of New Bern, NC

four grandchildren Ashley Royer(Paul) of Virginia Beach, VA

Ed III(Ashleigh) of Virginia Beach,

VA, Megan Nowak(Michael) of New Bern, NC &

Kevin Yandle of New Bern, NC and 5 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by brother Carlton(Joyce) and sister Betty(Kenneth).

He waspreceded by his son in law David Yandle,

his parents Vercinia & A.D English, and 6 brothers and sisters.

Ed never met a stranger, and touched many lives over his 85 years,

and will be sorely missed by many.

He had such a positive attitude, and if you asked how he was doing,

you were sure to hear his trademark saying,

“any better and I could not stand it”. He was a strong and proud

man, never a complainer, even as his illness slowly stole him away from us.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 28, 2017 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
