Earl Webb Temple IV, 34, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an automobile collision while driving home after work on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Earl was born on October 16, 1986 in New Bern, North Carolina to Mitzi Swindell Temple and Earl Webb Temple III.
His love of music led him to learn to play the acoustic and electric guitar. He also enjoyed playing the drums. His other interests included skateboarding and was passionate about disc golf. His greatest love was spending time at family gatherings and talking with family members about the past.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Thomas Temple Lankford of Wilmington; grandparents, Earl Webb and Ann Fulcher Temple of New Bern; his aunt, Sherry Temple (Vernon) Falls of New Bern; his aunt Connie Swindell (Duncan) Stephens of Jacksonville and Leighan Swindell (Robert) Pittman of Trenton and cousins, Alexandra Stephens Weber of New Orleans LA and Samuel Joseph Stephens of Jacksonville. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Jimmy “Nook” Swindell, Jr. and Metta Gaskill Swindell formally of Hobucken.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Cotten Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 4:00 pm on Saturday in the chapel.
