David Eugene Seamster

David Eugene Seamster, age 82, of New Bern, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2022. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and will be remembered for his work ethic and kindness toward others. David worked as a machinist at TandemLoc. He loved riding horses, barrel racing and trail riding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Martha Monette Seamster; sister, Eleanor Taylor; and brother, Pete Seamster.

He is survived by his life partner, Sharon Rhodes; son, David Seamster; stepsons, Robert Seamster, Josh Branthover (Cassandra), and Jason Branthover (Lori); grandchildren, Nikki Austin, Soren Branthover, Koen Branthover and Marcus Branthover; nieces, Beverly Woolard, Missy Garris and Pam Belrose; nephew, Pete Seamster; and many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Cotten Funeral Home.
