Alma Lucille Cuthrell Cooper, 62, of New Bern, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Alma loved the Lord with all of her heart and cared deeply for others. She enjoyed reading the Bible, scrapbooking, taking rides in the car with family, and loved her cats.
She is survived by her husband, Darryl Cooper; her children, Deborah Cooper, Denver Cooper, and Tonya Cooper Sutton (Brad); her brother, Ralph Cuthrell, Jr.; her sister, Brenda Joy Cuthrell Centers (Stevie); and her grandchildren, Lindsey Faye Cooper, Tatiana Wright, Matthew Sutton, Patrick Sutton, and Michael Sutton.
A special thanks is extended to her caregivers, Hattie Williams, Lisa Whitfield, Chrissy Gooding, and Angie Bell.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by her memorial service at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
