Alan Roy Jerome

Al was a member of Pleasant Acres FWB Church for 31 years. He volunteered in any capacity he was needed at the church, and the affiliated New Bern Christian Academy. “Mr. Al” was much loved by the children of the church & school. He coached t-ball & Minor League baseball for Neuse Forest Presbyterian Church. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp and retired from civil service Cherry Point after 36 years. Memorial service will be held at Pleasant Acres FWB Church, 2911 Old Cherry Point Rd. on Friday March 30th, 2012 at 2:00 PM family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. There will be a private graveside at a later time.

He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Edith Jerome of Ashfield, MA

He is survived by his wife Shirley Sutton of 43 years; two daughters Angela Watkins and husband Gerald; Ginger Page and husband Dixon of Greenville; Son Steven Jerome and wife Michelle of New Bern; Eight grandchildren Jonathan Forbes of Florissant, Co., Samantha Hill, Kristina Hill, Ethan Forbes, Bryanna Watkins, Catie Page, Sarah Page, and Jamie Page all of Greenville. Brother Charles Jerome and wife Anne of Palatine Bridge, NY; two sisters Janine Graves and husband Don Plamondon of Greenfield, MA., Deanne Samson and husband Neil of Leeds, MA.
