Born in New Bedford, a son of Sandra (Bellotti) Babineau and her husband Robert of New Bedford and the late Walter LaFrance Sr. He was employed as a self-employed handyman for many years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, Riley, Evan and Aaren. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing, bowling. He was an extremely easy going man.
In addition his daughter, grandchildren and parents, Walter is survived by his stepsister Patricia Mingo and her husband Bryant and their children Mackenzie, Robert, and Bryant Jr. He was the brother of the late David LaFrance and uncle of the late David Tolley.
